Rules
Talk ships, share tactics, recruit teammates, and learn from each other. Strong opinions and colorful language are fine; abuse is not. These standards apply to posts, replies, builds, replay discussions, usernames, avatars, and profile content.
The five essentials
No external URL links
Do not post links to other websites in forum threads, replies, signatures, or profile text. This includes shortened links, invite links, QR codes, and disguised URLs. Share information in your own words and use the website’s built-in ship-build and replay attachments instead.
Foul language is allowed. Demeaning others is not.
Swearing and casual language are welcome. Keep it about the game, not someone’s worth as a person. Do not use foul language to insult, humiliate, bully, or target another member. Disagree with the idea or the play—not the person.
No racism or homophobia
Racist or homophobic comments, slurs, and attacks are not allowed, including when presented as jokes. The same applies to hateful or discriminatory abuse based on ethnicity, nationality, religion, sex, gender identity, disability, or other personal characteristics.
Clan advertising is welcome
You may recruit for your clan and share its name, region, goals, requirements, and in-game contact details. Keep recruitment relevant and respectful. The no-external-links rule still applies: do not include clan website, Discord, or other external invite URLs.
No promotion of unapproved third-party applications
Do not advertise third-party applications unless they are used by this website’s data-gathering service and confirmed by the site team. Being related to World of Warships does not automatically qualify an application. If you are unsure, ask a moderator before promoting it. Even approved applications must not be advertised with external URL links.
Respect people and their privacy
No threats, stalking, sexual harassment, repeated unwanted contact, or coordinated targeting. Do not share another person’s real name, address, private messages, account credentials, or other private information without permission. Critique replay decisions constructively; do not use replays to organize harassment.
Keep the forum useful
Use the most relevant category and a clear title. Avoid duplicate threads, repeated recruitment bumps, spam, scams, and unrelated commercial advertising. Do not impersonate members, moderators, clans, or game staff. Label guesses and opinions honestly, and do not present edited or fabricated evidence as genuine.
Share safe, appropriate content
Do not post malware, phishing attempts, cheats, instructions for account theft, illegal content, sexually explicit material, or graphic violence. Only share files, screenshots, builds, and replays you have permission to share. Do not promote account selling, stolen accounts, or services that compromise fair play.
Help moderators resolve problems
If something breaks these rules, bring it to a moderator’s attention instead of escalating the argument or starting a public pile-on. Explain what happened and identify the relevant thread or post. Do not repost offensive material or private information to make your point.
How the rules are applied
Moderators may request edits, remove content, issue warnings, or restrict accounts depending on the severity and repetition of a violation. Serious threats, hate, scams, or malicious content may result in immediate restrictions. Do not evade moderation with another account. If you believe a decision was mistaken, ask the site team for a review calmly and provide relevant context.
These rules work alongside our Terms of Service. The site team may clarify or update them as the community grows.
